City of Lewisville, TX - Human Resources: Laserfiche

The City of Lewisville purchased Laserfiche in 2006 to help reduce the amount of time they spent storing and retrieving documents for internal staff and their citizens. The City chose Laserfiche due to its ability to easily rollout as an Enterprise Records Management System. The Human Resources Department was determined to be one of the first departments Laserfiche would be deployed in.

Athens Clarke County, GA – Building Department: Laserfiche

The Building Permits and Inspection Department of Athens-Clarke County recognized the need to greatly improve the document storage and retrieval method.  Archived documents, mostly blueprints and building and site plans, were not readily available as they were kept in an off-site storage facility which, itself, was close to capacity.

Houston County GA – District Attorney Office: Laserfiche

A benefit of going “paperless” is that we are now able to provide my office’s entire discovery via online access instead of the traditional “file” copy that has been used for the past thousand years. You may think this isn’t a big deal, but for government to do anything “cutting edge” is a bit unusual.

City of Key West, FL – City Commission: Legistar

The City of Key West is not unlike most organizations these days in that they were looking for ways to save money, time and become more efficient. One of the most time consuming processes within a municipal organization can be the process of completing meeting agendas.  On June 15th the City Commission conducted their first paperless meeting, with the use of Legistar. Now, in about half of the time it took before, the agenda is prepared and online ready for the meetings.

 

City of Wichita Falls - Municipal Courts: Laserfiche

“We chose Laserfiche primarily because their reseller MCCi specialized in government municipalities and they guided us in the direction that other city/county governments were using for content management.”  The implementation of Laserfiche would provide the City with the opportunity to manage their records in compliance with the Texas State Laws and move closer to being a “paper-less” business. 

Florida County Health Department: Laserfiche

Laserfiche was initially implemented in the Business Office and easily expanded into several other offices and departments as well.  Since then, they have been able to eliminate the costs associated with offsite storage and the purchase of filing supplies such as file cabinets, file folders and binders. Today, Laserfiche has helped them save significant amounts of time in performing comprehensive record searches and by offering a solution to distribute records via email.   The County Health Department has been able to reduce the turnaround time for document requests by 90%.

ELC of the Big Bend: Laserfiche

The Early Learning Coalition of the Big Bend is among the first in the State to embrace Electronic Records Management. "Getting our staff involved from the beginning has been a huge part of our success with Laserfiche" says Liz. To date, they have successfully rolled out Laserfiche in three of their nine departments with plans for the other six departments to come on board in the near future.

Today, Laserfiche is being utilized as their primary imaging application deployed across sixteen (16) departments in both the Tallahassee and Orlando locations.  Since 2003 they have used Laserfiche to handle more than 1.35 million documents and 8.3 million images and recently moved to Laserfiche RIO.

We already had a great filing structure in place so the best thing for us was to take this filing structure and mimic it within Laserfiche.  This way people knew exactly where to go to look for the information. It was easy and everyone adapted to it without hesitation.
