“During a recent Continuity of Operations Plan training, we had a surprise "mock" disaster that none of us were expecting.  This was the perfect opportunity as we sat and reviewed the status of each department and whether or not, or at what level, they could function in the days following such an incident.  It was shocking what would occur and what has likely occurred around the state. 

There is no better time than now to point out the importance of a system such as Laserfiche, which is what I am trying to accomplish.  During this training, because of Laserfiche, we were the only ones that had retrievable documents.  To everyone's surprise, much of what they said they would have lost I was able to state that we had those departments' things safe in our Laserfiche system.  I went on to explain that with MCCi’s assistance, we would have been up and running as soon as "help" arrived.  They were astounded.  

We have been feverishly scanning documents from each department so that those department representatives can see how easy it is to search for, locate, and retrieve information, as well as the fact that it is no longer a barely-able-to-be-read microfilm document.”
